This year’s Stockport Carnival will take place on Saturday 23rd of July. Join us for the colourful parade through the town centre and fun day at Woodbank Park. Every year thousands of people turn out to be part of this great tradition, with hundreds taking part in the parade.
The Stockport Carnival Parade
The parade will set off from Belmont way at 1.00pm and arrive at Woodbank Park at approximately 2pm. It’s a riot of sound and colour with brightly decorated floats, fabulous costumed walking groups and the vibrant rhythms of the marching bands.
It’s a great way to let people know about your community group or business, so why not take part?
At Woodbank Park
Our mammoth car boot sale will get underway at Woodbank park at 9.00am. If you’d like to take part just turn up on the day, no need to book. The fees for vehicles are as follows:
- Car: £12 (two for £20)
- Van: £15
As usual there will be a fun fair, music and dance, lots of stalls selling food, drink, crafts and many, many other things. We’re always looking for great quality stalls, especially if you have a food offering that’s something a bit different.
There’s still time to get involved! If you’d like to take part in the parade or have a stall at the park just drop us a line via our contact page.
Raising money for local charities
It’s not just about having a fun-filled day in Stockport – every year Stockport Carnival raises thousands of pounds for local charities and community groups. If you’re coming to watch the parade please keep an eye out for the collection buckets and give what you can.
